VP, AI and Quantitative Trading Solutions Delivery
Position Overview
A leader with proven industry leadership in Tier one broker dealers with quantitative trading including algorithm development and back-testing at scale along with pre/post/in-trade transaction cost analysis. Experience in optimizing trading costs across multiple asset classes including low latency low touch environments and high touch (“care”) workflows.
Business scope includes the Trading functions in BTCS, Asset Management and Wealth businesses. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering complex business technology projects, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of quantitative trading methods as well as AI, classical analytics and the nuances of real time trading data.
Responsibilities
- Leadership: Lead the model development life cycle for AI solutions including:
- Quantitative methods for trading including algorithm development, selection, monitoring and optimization using classical and AI techniques
- Data engineering to support the above
- Model development, back testing at scale implementation and monitoring
- Workflow integration and user experience
- Technical Development: Drive the design and implementation of a scalable and resilient data infrastructure for the front office and associated analytics methods and tools. Scope includes AI, TCA analytics, quantitative trading algorithms, machine learning models. Leverage enterprise wide assets in doing this, e.g. BRx, EISL, data lake house standards.
- Community of Practice: lead a community of practice within front office data, analytics AI and front office quantitative methods (eg time series)
- Project Management: Oversee the end-to-end agile delivery of AI and data projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Business Engagement: Act as our primary interface to senior quantitative trading executives in the industry. Collaborate with product management within the front office in Broadridge, building strong relationships and ensuring their needs are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Team Development: Recruit, mentor and develop team members, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to help them grow and excel in their roles.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing issues and challenges to ensure successful project outcomes
- Strategy & Execution: As a member of the AI / Data leadership team contribute to:
- Overall delivery strategy within the front office
- Model development methodologies with leadership on the extension of current MDLC to quantitative trading analytics and AI solutions
- AI & Data Business Roadmaps for front office AI and analytics solutions
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, product management, enterprise platforms and engineering, to ensure alignment and coordination across the organization. Special focus on professionals in front office data, analytics AI and quants (group within BTCS).
- Market Analysis: Stay informed of industry trends and emerging technologies in AI and data analytics, providing insights and recommendations to inform business strategy
Qualifications
- Deep understanding of Trading Technology and the needs of agency and proprietary traders on both the by-side and sell side.
- Comprehensive understanding of the data sources that traders use to make decisions on trade execution.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- Proven track record of leadership in delivering trading technology projects, with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role
- An understanding of data management best practices and AI technologies, including machine learning, natural language processing and generative AI
- Strong project management skills, with experience managing large-scale, complex projects from initiation to completion
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with traders, trading leaders and internal stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges and drive solutions
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Experience working in a business-facing role, with a proven ability to understand and address business needs and expectations
- Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in AI and data analytics
