We are seeking a talented Counsel, Client Contracting who will support the organization’s legal department advising on a broad variety of client-related matters, including support and/or leading contract and regulatory projects. In addition, the incumbent will collaborate with clients and other members of the team, engage with outside counsel, and perform legal research. This role will also help support other miscellaneous matters on the legal team.  

Role Responsibilities

  • Review, draft and negotiate a wide variety of sophisticated commercial contracts, such as vendor/procurement, sales/service, and non-disclosure agreements

  • Advise various internal departments regarding contract terms and implications on business operations, including providing guidance and practical solutions

  • Assist senior internal counsel with matters including legal research projects and commercial disputes

  • Draft and respond to demand letters related to contract matters

  • Ability to travel as needed to successfully perform position responsibilities, and handle disruptive work schedules, deadlines, and unpredictable events

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Role Requirements

  • Undergraduate Degree and JD Degree (from ABA-accredited law school) required.
  • Admission to a state bar with an active membership in good standing is required.

Experience

  • Five (5) years experience as an attorney in drafting and negotiating a wide range of contracts.
  • Experience within a corporate legal environment preferred.
  • Previous sales contract experienced is required.
  • Experience working in the financial services, fintech or banking sector is preferred.

$128,900.00

Actual Pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
