AVP, Statistical Reporting – Workers Compensation
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for all workers compensation reporting obligations for the middle market book of business including Policy and Unit Statistical Reporting, aggregate and individual state data calls, assessment/surcharge payments.
Responsible for management and submission of all First and Subsequent Report of Injury (FROI/SROI) data submissions via the Electronic Data Interchange.
Work with multiple parties to ensure that all statistically-reported data reconciles with amounts that were financially booked on the company’s annual statement.
Diagnose and propose remedies for process improvement opportunities in the department. Lead efforts to streamline efficiencies and achieve capacity gains to further optimize staff utilization.
Proactively work with stakeholders to address and rectify any data quality issues within the segment.
Liaison with IT to ensure that all business segment data resides in proper sources in the Arch environment, ultimately landing in the Data Stores.
Key Competencies
Must have a demonstrated ability to work independently as the need arises to resolve issues.
Must have a strong knowledge of the Workers Compensation line of business as well as the various bureau data requirements.
Demonstrated history of leading efforts to improve statistical reporting processes.
Competent with MS Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
A minimum of at least 7 years of management experience in a Statistical Reporting unit, with main oversight over workers compensation reporting obligations.
Demonstrated knowledge of statistical plans and insurance premium and claims data.
For individuals assigned or hired to work in California, Colorado, Hawaii, Jersey City, NJ; New York State; and/or Washington State, the base salary range is listed below. This range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.
$110,000 - 160,000
Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above range may be modified in the future
