The primary focus of this position is to assist department management with setting up and directing multiple assembly line operations to ensure production requirements are met and a quality product is sent to both internal and external customers.

What You Need To Know:

• Assist with establishing work priorities in conjunction with the Production Supervisor, to include but not limited to:  receiving job instructions from the Supervisor, then assigning and training operators in safe and correct work procedures and required performance using a posted standard work document.  • Plan work to be performed by the line operators.  Assist line personnel in resolving on-the-job technical issues.

• Arrange for necessary tools and supplies. 

• Inspect, coordinate and record work performed by operators and complete operator skills matrix as required.

• Use Product Matrix to insert or remove resources as needed by product.

• Act as primary person responsible for maintaining 5S and Standard Work document.

• Refer employee relations issues to the Production Supervisor for appropriate action.

• Ensure compliance with Husqvarna’s safety policy and procedures, to include but not limited to:  wearing of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

• Use effective teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills to promote positive group operations and relationships.

What Are We Looking For:

• High School degree or GED with a minimum with 1-3 years related experience is required.

• Demonstrated skill in all job functions on the assembly line, including line setup and operation is required.

• Demonstrated ability to direct the work and train line operators is required.

• Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills are required.

• A demonstrated willingness for continual learning and skill development is required.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

• Desired personal computer skills include, but not limited to:  MS Office software applications. 

• Ability to work overtime, off shifts, and weekends as needed is required; other duties as assigned.
