The Manager Fleet Planning is responsible for coordinating a range of strategy and planning activities associated with the Jetstar Group Fleet planning. Working closely with the engineering, customer, finance and group fleet teams, you will participate in aircraft specification decision forums for both existing and new fleet types, ensuring compliance to all regulatory requirements and alignment to network strategy for the airline. The role will also actively participating in the development of network strategies and capacity planning to understand fleet needs.
The core responsibilities of this role are:
- Airline experience, with strong commercial or strategy background, plus Engineering or Flight ops experience desirable
- Globally recognised university degree
- Airline modelling and systems experience advantageous
- Superior Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills
- Data analytics expertise highly regarded
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- In-depth knowledge of the airline industry and the Asia Pacific market
- Talented leader, capable of delivering business targets, while also motivating & developing people
- Proven ability to consider analytical inputs and diverse qualitative inputs to make top quality decisions
- Proven project management skills and track record of leading high profile projects
- Strong technical understanding of aircraft performance and engine lifecycle
- Previous experience with aircraft leasing (ACMI and other) is desirable
- Understanding of key commercial drivers for an airline, especially inter-dependency of network and fleet strategies to drive successful outcomes
- Demonstrated decision making ability and proactively driving outcomes
- Balanced risk appetite with willingness to take carefully measured risks and apply learnings to future decision making
- Resilient, capable of effective leadership in a dynamic business with evolving challenges and priorities
- Ability to work diplomatically across cultures with international based stakeholders, and proven experience managing senior stakeholders
