Job Description Summary

The Quality Specialist is responsible for managing Quality Management System (QMS) documents, developing and implementing training programs, coordinating calibration activities, maintaining quality concerns, overseeing quality stop work processes, and managing change within the quality framework. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with quality standards and continuous improvement in all quality-related activities.

Job Description

Key responsibilities/essential functions include:

  • Update, and maintain QMS documentation, including policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure employees are knowledgeable about quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Develop and manage the calibration schedule for all measurement and testing equipment.
  • Conduct Internal Audits of procedure implementation in the production Cell, following ISO 9001 standards according to the established schedule, and report to the Product Quality Leader.
  • Assist in conducting Internal and External Audits.
  • Monitor and address quality concerns and deviations from established standards.
  • Facilitate the quality stop work process when critical issues arise.
  • Oversee the management of change processes to ensure that any modifications to processes, equipment, or materials are evaluated and documented.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing quality data and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Prepare the annual budget plan for Quality-related activities.
  • Assist in performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) when there are quality-related issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality improvement projects
  • Maintain a clean, comfortable, safe, and healthy work environment in accordance with Environment Health & Safety (EHS) policies and/or company policies.

Quality Expectations:

  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
  • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and support corrective actions

Required Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in quality management, with a focus on QMS, calibration, and training.
  • Familiar with software applications applicable to the job
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or other relevant quality standards.
  • Strong understanding of quality control processes and techniques.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using quality management software and tools.
