Overview:
Supports Wealth Planning teams in presenting advanced cash flow analyses to Tier 2 clients as sole presenter. Handles related questions from existing client book. Contributes to analytical projects as designer and initiator.
Primary Responsibilities:
Complete executive summaries of advanced cash flow analysis reports, follow-up on related communications and provide guidance to less experienced personnel as necessary.
Supervise development of clear and concise presentations that effectively communicate complex solutions. Demonstrate planning expertise at ad-hoc meetings and boil down client issues to several primary concerns.
Provide research support and quantitative analyses on technical matters related to wealth, fiduciary and financial planning topics or client concerns. Suggest areas of analysis based on experience that may be pertinent to the specific client.
Maintain direct prospect and client contact and participate in delivering wealth planning advice with other Client Advisors.
Serve as final reviewer of generated presentations through the use of strong editing skills and high attention to detail.
Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
Complete other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years’ experience providing holistic financial planning services with in-person client delivery, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 7 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 3 years’ experience providing holistic financial planning services with in-person client delivery
Exceptional verbal and written communications skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong proficiency with pertinent spreadsheet, word processing and presentation software
Experience rapidly learning new software applications
Strong research skills
Strong analytical skills
Education and Experience Preferred:
Minimum of 4 years’ delivering financial planning services to high net worth individuals, including estate planning, retirement, asset allocation, cash flow sustainability and life insurance needs
Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Accredited Estate Planner (AEP) and/or Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) certification
M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $108,554.47 - $180,924.12 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
