Position Details:

Summary of Duties:

Serve as specialist and lead worker by planning, coordinating and performing journey level maintenance and repairs. Provides senior leadership for performance of routine and emergency maintenance and repairs to facilities, equipment, and systems.


Required Qualifications:

  • High school graduation and four years of general work experience in building and equipment maintenance, construction or repair work or completion of a recognized apprenticeship in a skilled mechanic trade and one year of journey-level experience in building and equipment maintenance, construction, or repair work or equivalent education/experience. 

  • High school diploma or GED certificate.

  • Four years of general work experience in building and equipment maintenance, construction, repair work; or completion of recognized apprenticeship in a skilled mechanic trade.

  • Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver's license and meet requirements in accordance with and departmental driving standards.

  • Basic computer knowledge.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of pumps, motors, and electrical installation.

  • Basic knowledge of building control systems.

  • Experience in higher education athletic or recreation setting.
