RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Leads multiple geographically dispersed teams in identifying, planning, scheduling and performing maintenance activities in support of our mission of Safe, Compliant, Reliable and Cost- Effective operations.
• Establishes the vision and clear expectations around the implementation of a standardized Maintenance Management work process and drive performance through the use of key performance indicators and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Partners with leadership in the Reliability and Engineering organizations to ensure that equipment is consistently classified in accordance with pre-established Equipment Criticality definitions in order to drive the appropriate maintenance, inspection and testing scope and intervals.
• Accountable for setting the overall maintenance organization strategy for the region along with the development of Area-specific repair and maintenance budgets aligned with that strategy.
• Accountable for securing the appropriate level of fixed and variable resources to support the Regional maintenance strategy along with desired performance levels to be used for benchmarking data to capture resourcing efficiencies over time.
• Ensures that maintenance employees are held accountable in actively participating in capital project design, construction, functional check-out and commissioning activities as appropriate to assure operability and maintainability throughout the full asset life cycle.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Candidates with relevant professional experience, including demonstrated success in a leadership role, will also be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Ten (10) years Leadership experience required, experience leading a mid-size organization with geographical diversity preferred.
• Ten (10) years of work experience in the energy industry (or peripheral crafts) with prior experience managing exempt and non-exempt personnel accountable for mechanical maintenance, and/or instrumentation/electrical.
• Experience in both natural gas and crude oil gathering/processing/transportation strongly preferred.

*Primary work location is flexible based on current West Operations locations and main MPC office locations.
