Position Summary

Neogene is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join the Molecular Biology and Sequencing (MBS) Unit at Neogene Therapeutics. In this role, you will support Neogene's personalized and shared neoantigen TCR discovery, as well as T cell engineering R&D programs. You will contribute to MBS operations and to the further development of MBS specific technology and assays, including assay automation. This position is located in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and you will report to the MBS Unit team lead.

 

Responsibilities

  • Supporting experimental and pre-clinical projects in the area of molecular biology and next-generation sequencing by executing standard operating procedures and interacting with various stakeholders as a point of contact at the MBS Unit.
  • Planning, execution, and interpretation of experimental work aiming to develop new assays and technology, including assay automation.
  • Documentation of experimental results in electronic laboratory journal and presenting data in cross functional meetings.
  • Operation and maintenance of sequencing and lab-automation equipment.
  • Completion of tasks relating to laboratory operations under supervision of the Lab-manager.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

 

Education and Experience

  • MS or BS degree with work experience in a relevant scientific field (e.g., Immunology, Oncology, Molecular Biology, or related discipline).
  • Hands on experience with basic molecular techniques such as DNA/RNA isolations, PCR amplification, preparation of sequencing libraries, and molecular cloning is a must.
  • Additional experience and affinity with operating and programming of lab-automation equipment is a plus.
  • Authorization to work with GMOs.
  • You must be authorized to work in The Netherlands.
