About the role
We are looking for a Disability and Leave Consultant for a 6 months contract.
As a Disability and Leave Consultant, you will participate in the implementation of the company's leave programs. This position reports to the Director, Disability and Leave and is part of the HR Operations team.
What you’ll do here:
- Provide the HR community, managers and employees with expert advice and support when:
- Employees are unable to work due to illness or injury and are on short-term or long-term disability leave.
- Employees require an ergonomic accommodation or assessment related to a medical condition.
- Employees plan a leave of absence, including retirement, personal, parental, maternity, paternity, or adoption leave, and any other leave provided by law.
- Work in partnership with external service providers.
- Provide excellent customer service.
What you bring to the table:
- University education in a related field and a minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience in disability and leave management.
- Bilingualism required (French and English). You will interact regularly with colleagues from across the country.
- Very good ability to provide excellent customer service, while working remotely and with a diverse workforce.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal), with good ability to influence others.
- Good sense of organization and planning.
- Have an open mind, be agile and resilient while being comfortable working in a constantly evolving work environment.
- Embrace change and opportunities with a positive attitude.
