Position Overview:
Are you a tech-savvy professional with a passion for cybersecurity and cloud infrastructure? We are seeking a skilled Cloud Systems Administrator to deliver and provision secure hosting environments within a commercial cloud fabric in direct support of NSA missions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to enable enterprise-wide scaling for a diverse set of end users and to be at the forefront of cutting-edge technology.

What You’ll Do:

  • Cloud Support & Integration: Perform tasks spanning network fabrics to support commercial cloud operations, including customer help desk functions, software integration and migration, and configuration management.

  • Network & Security Expertise: Provide technical expertise in peer-to-peer distributed storage networks, routing, and application messaging frameworks. Provision and sustain network infrastructures in a secure environment utilizing PKI, IPSEC, SDN, and VPN technologies.

  • Emerging Tech Evaluation: Evaluate and integrate emerging cybersecurity technologies for production use, such as DNS, routing, load balancers, data flow technologies, HIDS, NIDS, and Anti-Virus scanning.

  • Documentation & Monitoring: Develop and maintain documentation, perform network and system monitoring, and manage configuration and release processes.

Qualifications:

  • Clearance: An active NSA TS/SCI with Polygraph.

  • Troubleshooting Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting network-related support cases.

  • Cloud Infrastructure Knowledge: Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure management.

  • Linux Expertise: Strong Linux skills, with experience in Centos 7 and/or RHEL 8.

  • Automation Tools: Experience with Ansible and other automation tools.

  • VM Administration: Experience administering VMs in OpenStack, VMWare, or AWS.

  • Security Compliance: Experience managing and securing VMs with STE/STN and SSP Compliance.

  • Sys Admin Tasks: Comfortable performing YUM updates, VM reboots, applying STE/STN changes, creating server certificates, and other common Sys Admin tasks.

  • Troubleshooting Experience: Moderate experience troubleshooting Linux VMs, including SSH issues, performance problems, and log file analysis.

  • Containerization: Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Rancher.

  • Security Certification: Active Security+ Certification.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Alternatively, 4 years of additional experience on projects with similar requirements may substitute for a degree.

  • Experience: 5 years of experience managing and monitoring large Hadoop clusters (>200 nodes).

  • Certification: Hadoop/Cloud System Administration Certification.

  • PKI Setup: Experience with PKI Certificate/Server Certificate Setup.

  • Cloud Experience: AWS experience (EC2, RDS, etc.).

  • Tools & Technologies: Familiarity with Grafana, Rancher, Rook-Ceph, NiFi, and VMWare.

  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team while also handling independent tasks.

  • Version Control: Git experience (push, pull, commit changes).

    Pay Range:

    There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.     The proposed salary range for this position is:

    $86,600 - $181,800
