Role and Responsibilities
Samsung Networks Europe is committed to bringing our leading Open RAN (ORAN) solutions to operators across Europe. As a Cloud Solution Architect, you'll play a critical role in this mission, working closely with customers, partners, and internal teams to deliver innovative and tailored cloud solutions.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where your expertise will directly influence the success of our ORAN initiatives. What you’ll do:
Own the technical relationship for the Cloud Solution part of ORAN with customers, serving as their trusted advisor on cloud technology.
Establish relationships with technical key influencers and manage the end-to-end technical sales process for Samsung's ORAN cloud solutions.
Drive and develop customer solutions based on a deep understanding of their objectives, market requirements, and Samsung's ORAN portfolio.
Collaborate closely with the ORAN Solution Manager to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Promote new solutions to customers, providing value argumentation, solution description materials, and dimensioning information.
Stay informed about the market environment and technical trends, proposing innovative solutions to customer challenges.
Act as the customer's advocate, ensuring their requirements are met by R&D and SI teams.
Identify technical opportunities for solution and service sales in collaboration with the ORAN Solution Manager and Account Team.
Lead the technical sales process, design complex cloud solutions, and manage RFI/RFQ/RFP responses.
Coordinate local cooperation with cloud solution partners and the SI team in Corporate Korea.
Provide full cloud product specifications and maintain a deep technical knowledge of the cloud solution and underlying technologies.
Skills and Qualifications
What we're looking for:
A strong understanding of the telecommunications market and technical trends.
In-depth knowledge of cloud technology, particularly for Open RAN.
Proven experience in consultative presales activities, working with operators, and engaging in technical discussions.
Excellent communication and presentation skills to influence senior management and share knowledge effectively.
A willingness to take responsibility for technical decisions.
A degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Mathematics, Telecoms, or a related field (industrial experience may substitute).
10+ years of experience in the telecom industry in a technical role.
Experience leading virtual teams for solution definition and technical sales execution.
Fluency in English (speaking and writing).
A readiness to travel across Europe.
