Cloud Security Engineer

In this role you will

  • Architect and evolve cutting-edge cloud-native cybersecurity platforms spanning every layer of the stack - from database to CDN

  • Design and implement advanced authentication frameworks leveraging modern paradigms such as MFA, passkeys, and zero-trust principles

  • Integrate seamlessly with leading identity ecosystems including Auth0, Transmit Security, and Ping Identity, ensuring interoperability at scale

  • Engineer defense solutions to detect and prevent account takeover attempts by bad actors

  • Optimize cloud services for performance and resiliency while driving measurable efficiency gains

  • Champion technical excellence by continuously refining standards, tooling, and processes to stay ahead of emerging threats and technologies

  • Translate complex business objectives into robust technical solutions, collaborating closely with Product Owners to deliver strategic outcomes

  • Own the full lifecycle of deployment and operations across development, testing, and production environments

What it takes

  • Expertise in Cloud Computing and Cloud Services (preferred: AWS) and in provisioning infrastructure with IaC tools like CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform

  • Expertise in TypeScript and JavaScript building and consuming web services with Node.js; familiarity with NestJS and microservices-based architectures is a plus

  • Solid understanding of REST APIs and good understanding of cloud security principles, including IAM, networking, and encryption

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies; experience with the scrum framework is preferred

  • A passion for continuous learning and development, both technically and non-technically
