Role Summary & Role Description:
As a Cloud SDLC Lead Architect, you will play a pivotal role in assessing, designing, and engineering enterprise-grade DevOps solutions for diverse and complex cloud environments, with a primary focus on platforms such as Azure and AWS. In this capacity, your responsibilities will include:
Leading a team of DevOps engineers in architecting and implementing scalable, secure, and resilient deployment solutions specifically tailored for cloud infrastructure.
Experience of 15+ years with 3+ years as Architect for SDLC Toolsets and DevOps
Overseeing design and deployment of DevOps tools to cloud in a scalable model.
Analyzing build and deployment patterns, driving automation initiatives to streamline processes with self-service focus.
Integrating robust security guardrails into DevOps workflows to ensure compliance and protection across all cloud environments.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to create and implement innovative technical solutions that improve operational effectiveness and support organizational objectives.
Selecting and applying architectural frameworks, implementing cloud-native automation best practices, and integrating monitoring, testing, and release management tools for continuous improvement.
Researching and leveraging AI technologies to optimize the DevOps experience and facilitate ongoing innovation for tenant teams.
Staying current with industry trends and cloud technology advancements to drive the organization's strategic goals forward.
These skills will help you succeed in this role with MUST and NICE to have skills:
Comprehensive hands-on experience with both legacy infrastructure and modern cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and VMware, within large-scale enterprise environments.
In-depth knowledge of foundational infrastructure components, including virtual machines (VMs), containers, and serverless architectures.
Proficiency with build automation tools such as Ant, Maven, npm, and Gradle.
Practical experience utilizing CI/CD and DevOps tools, including GitHub, CloudBees Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory, and Jira.
Exposure to security operations (SecOps) tools such as Black Duck and Veracode for secure software delivery.
Advanced programming and scripting abilities in languages such as Java, Unix shell scripting, SQL, Groovy, Perl, Curl, and Python.
Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes, as well as infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
Demonstrated expertise in writing automation scripts using shell scripting, Groovy, and Java to streamline cloud deployment and management.
Strong familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies, embracing a DevOps culture.
Good to have skills:
Experience in migrating legacy workloads to cloud using modern CICD tools such as Harness, ArgoCD, ADO, GitHub Actions, etc would be highly desirable.
Experience leveraging AI-driven tools and technologies in DevOps environments, such as Copilot, Cursor, and large language models (LLMs), to optimize workflows and drive innovation.
Demonstrated ability to resolve complex issues within diverse application environments.
Proficiency working across multiple operating systems, including UNIX, Linux, Windows, and virtualized environments.
Ability to independently conduct technical proof-of-concept evaluations for emerging DevOps technologies and frameworks.
Hands-on experience with Ansible Tower, including developing and maintaining automation playbooks, is a strong plus.
Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace, as well as hands-on exposure to AWS and Azure cloud platforms, is preferred.
Background in leveraging DevOps continuous testing frameworks and implementing testing automation in CI/CD pipelines.
