Cloud Platform Engineer - FTC to December 2026

This role sits within a dynamic team that supports both project and operational activities across the organisation. The Cloud Platform team is responsible for maintaining and optimising the Azure cloud environment, which hosts a diverse range of business-critical applications. The team works closely with stakeholders to ensure platform reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.

About the role

As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management and health of the Azure platform. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring and maintaining the health and performance of cloud services and infrastructure.
  • Responding to and resolving platform-related incidents and service issues.
  • Supporting project teams with cloud expertise and operational readiness.
  • Implementing and promoting FinOps practices to optimise cloud spend and resource usage.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure platform stability and continuous improvement.


About you

To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong technical background and a proactive approach to cloud operations. Key skills and experience include:

  • Proven experience with Microsoft Azure, including PaaS services and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
  • Strong understanding of Azure FinOps principles and cost optimisation strategies.
  • Familiarity with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and platform health tools.
  • Experience supporting cloud infrastructure in a production environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex platform issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with ELK stack, particularly Kibana, for log analysis and visualisation
