Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Remote - USA or Canada Full Time

As an Infrastructure Engineer at Array, you will help us build, organize, and improve our cloud environments with a strong focus on Google Cloud Provider (GCP) and Terraform. You will work closely with SRE, DevOps, System Administrators, InfoSec, and development teams to support infrastructure as code and cloud platforms. You will take ambiguous problems, bring clarity, and own the work from start to finish. This role reports to the Engineering Manager. 

All Engineering roles at Array are subject to On-Call rotations after a ramp/training period. 

You will:

  • Support the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure with a primary focus on GCP while also contributing to our AWS environments.
  • Build and maintain Terraform using our company wide standards and structure.
  • Work with SRE, DevOps, and System Administrators to support Kubernetes environments.
  • Follow secure practices and partner with InfoSec when making cloud decisions.
  • Be able to take a cloud problem, investigate it, clearly understand what is happening, and provide concrete explanations and solutions.
  • Be able to take a cloud resource request, create it in Terraform, run it through the CI and CD pipeline, and deploy it in a reasonable amount of time.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify and improve infrastructure processes.
  • Manage long term infrastructure improvements while contributing to daily needs.
  • Take ownership of assigned work and communicate progress clearly to the team.
  • Bring a natural curiosity for understanding how cloud systems work and what makes individual resources behave the way they do.
  • Maintain a habit of using AI tools to think, build, and ship faster—it’s your default, not an afterthought.

You have:

  • 2+ years experience with GCP and a working understanding of AWS.
  • Practical experience building infrastructure with Terraform.
  • Interest in building reusable Terraform modules and learning how to design them well.
  • Understanding of cloud fundamentals like networking, compute, storage, permissions, etc.
  • Ability to take an ambiguous request and shape it into clear steps and deliverables.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes concepts or willingness to learn.
  • Some experience with infrastructure migrations or refactoring legacy environments.
  • Ability to balance speed and accuracy when delivering cloud resources.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working across engineering teams.
  • A desire to grow and take on more ownership as the environment evolves.
  • A belief that AI is reshaping work, you instinctively use it to accelerate everything you do.

This role provides the foundation for that work. You will bring the expertise needed to unify our infrastructure, strengthen our cloud posture, and accelerate the way engineering delivers features and products.

Pay transparency: $135,000 + for base salary, depending on experience.
