Columbia Sportswear’s Digital Technology (CDT) organization enables a global IT infrastructure and cloud ecosystem supporting four brands, a global supply chain, and hundreds of retail locations. These teams ensure that our digital foundation remains resilient, scalable, and secure—fueling business growth and digital transformation.
We’re seeking a Cloud Engineering Delivery Manager to lead a high-performing team of cloud engineers in our Bangalore, India Global Capability Center. The team is responsible for the design, operation, and continuous improvement of Columbia’s global Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud platforms. The ideal candidate blends strong people leadership, deep technical fluency in cloud infrastructure, and a strategic mindset that aligns technology with business strategy and outcomes.
This role requires a leader who builds trust with their team, develops talent, and drives operational excellence in a fast-paced, evolving environment. The ideal candidate is also an effective collaborator, working closely with US based Cloud Engineering leadership.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of India based cloud engineers focused on service reliability, automation, and infrastructure modernization.
• Collaborate closely with US Based Cloud Engineering leadership and principle engineers to define and execute the enterprise cloud strategy aligned with Columbia’s global IT and digital transformation goals.
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and technical excellence within the engineering organization.
• Partner with senior IT and business leaders to prioritize initiatives that enhance scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Participate in the design, build, and lifecycle management of cloud environments—primarily Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, FinOps, governance, and automation).
• Ensure adherence to enterprise standards for security, compliance, and cost management.
• Drive modernization of legacy workloads through automation, leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and DevOps practices.
• Posses a good understanding of Cloud deployment bests practice, Network principles, security controls and guardrails, and well architected cloud framework.
• Establish and maintain operational excellence frameworks—monitoring, alerting, incident response, capacity planning, Financial Operations principles and service continuity across hybrid environments.
• Partner with architecture and cybersecurity teams to implement Zero Trust principles and robust identity/access management.
• Collaborate with other CDT teams as well as US based Cloud Engineering team on setting goals, priorities and long term cloud maturity roadmap.
• Communicate progress, metrics, and risk clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Serve as the subject matter expert and trusted advisor for cloud infrastructure and platform engineering.
• Build strong relationships with vendors, partners, and managed service providers to maximize value and support.
• Builds, mentors, and retains top talent—developing engineers into strong technical contributors and future leaders.
• Inspires confidence and accountability through transparency, empathy, and results-driven leadership.
• Champions inclusion, collaboration, and psychological safety within the team.
• Balances day-to-day operations with long-term strategic planning.

• Champions cloud-first and automation-driven mindsets across the organization.
• Thrives on modernization, reducingcomplexity, and transforming legacy infrastructure.
• Continuously evaluates emerging cloud technologies (AI-driven operations, AIOps, FinOps) to drive innovation and efficiency.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 8+ years of progressive experience in cloud engineering and infrastructure management.
• 5+ years in a formal leadership or management role overseeing technical teams.
• Proven expertise in Microsoft Azure (governance, subscription management, automation, networking, security, and cost optimization).
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments, Azure AD, and integration with on-prem systems.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM, Ansible), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Strong understanding of cloud cost management (FinOps), security controls, and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO, NIST, SOC 2).
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred:
• Azure Solutions Architect or Azure Administrator certification.
• Experience leading cloud migrations or modernization programs at enterprise scale.
• Familiarity with AIOps, automation, or observability tools (e.g., Graphana, Splunk, Datadog).
• Exposure to AWS or GCP environments a plus.
