Location: Gurgaon, India

Reports To: Manager, Cloud Engineering

Role Overview

Trek is seeking an energetic Cloud Engineer - II who is willing to provide operational and project support in a variety of functions. This role will partner with our Cloud Engineering manager and assist in the multiple programs we run globally as well as communication internally. In addition to those tasks, collaboration with the different teams will be vital in this role due to the differences each group has and how business is conducted. Strong organization, time management, attention to detail, and a “get stuff done” attitude will make anyone in this role wildly successful!

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Infrastructure Delivery & Automation

Independently implement and maintain scalable, secure Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, aligned with current cloud architecture practices and team-defined standards.

Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines to support automated infrastructure and application delivery.

Develop and maintain reusable infrastructure modules aligned with current cloud architecture practices and team-defined standards.

Ensure infrastructure meets enterprise availability, cost-efficiency, and security expectations.

Operational Excellence & Reliability

Support production cloud environments, including incident response, root cause analysis, and performance optimization.

Proactively identify reliability, security, and cost optimization opportunities.

Maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability standards across supported systems.

Contribute to disaster recovery planning and validation exercises.

Participate in on-call rotation and support production cloud environments.

Contribute to internal documentation, standards, and runbooks.

Continuously improve knowledge of Trek systems and Azure capabilities.

Security & Governance

Apply Azure security best practices including identity management, RBAC, policy enforcement, and network segmentation.

Support compliance initiatives by ensuring infrastructure meets governance and audit requirements.

Partner with security teams to remediate vulnerabilities and implement guardrails.

Cross-Team Collaboration & Enablement

Partner with application teams to design and deliver cloud-native solutions.

Provide technical guidance to developers on infrastructure patterns, pipelines, and cloud best practices.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

Identify opportunities to improve automation, deployment velocity, reliability, and cost optimization.

Evaluate new Azure services and tooling to improve platform capabilities.

Contribute to evolving Cloud Engineering standards and best practices.

Skills and Qualifications:

Must Have:

• 3+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Systems Administration
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing Azure-based solutions.
• Strong working knowledge of Azure core services (VMs, App Services, Storage, Networking, Azure AD/Entra ID).
• Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
• Proven experience building or maintaining Terraform or similar infrastructure as code configurations.
• Familiarity with code review practices and version control workflows (Git).
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, security hardening, and encryption standards.
• Experience in administering Linux and Windows virtual environments.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as PowerShell, Python, or similar.

Good to have:

• Azure AZ-104 or similar certification.
• Experience implementing and maintaining observability solutions using Grafana OSS stack (Alloy, Prometheus, Loki, or similar), including metrics, logs, and alerting configuration.
• Exposure to containerization (AKS, Docker) or cloud-native architectures
• Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Chef, Ansible).
• Familiarity with Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence)
