Cloud Engineer

Our Engineering and Emerging Technologies (EET) team works side by side with customers to articulate a vision for success, and then make it happen. We know success doesn't happen by accident. It takes the right team of people, working together on the right solutions for the customer. We are looking for a seasoned Cloud Engineer who will be a key driver to make this happen.

What will you be doing? 

As an AI-focused Cloud Engineer, you’ll design and implement the foundational AWS infrastructure that powers our scalable AI platform. Your focus will be on building Service Catalog products and reusable infrastructure templates that empower internal teams and clients to rapidly deploy data, analytics, and AI solutions. You’ll help automate and standardize the provisioning of data pipelines, SageMaker environments, AI applications, and Bedrock-based agents, ensuring security, scalability, and cost efficiency.

Remote with occasional travel to the client office.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Design, build, and maintain AWS Service Catalog products to enable self-service provisioning of AI and data services. 

  • Develop reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) stacks using CloudFormation, Terraform, and/or Pulumi to deploy and manage AWS environments. 

  • Create automated infrastructure templates supporting: 

  • Data analytics and pipeline workloads (e.g., Glue, Step Functions, Lambda, Redshift, S3). 

  • Amazon SageMaker for training and inference pipelines. 

  • Generative AI and Bedrock-based applications, including AI agents and custom model integrations. 

  • Collaborate with AI, data, and software teams to ensure infrastructure supports end-to-end workflows from ingestion to model deployment. 

  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for IaC and platform automation. 

  • Monitor infrastructure performance, security posture, and compliance. 

  • Document standards and best practices for scalable AI infrastructure. 

What You Must Have 

  • Candidate must reside in the U.S. and be a US Citizen, per government requirements.

  • Candidate must be able to pass successful Public Trust background check 

  • 3+ years of experience building and maintaining cloud infrastructure in AWS.

  • Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

What We’d Like You to Have 

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional), AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty. 

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS Service Catalog, CloudFormation, and Terraform or Pulumi. 

  • Deep understanding of AWS core services (IAM, Lambda, S3, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch, VPC, Step Functions). 

  • Experience designing and deploying infrastructure for data and AI workloads (e.g., SageMaker, Glue, Bedrock). 

  • Familiarity with DevOps, automation, and IaC best practices. 

  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (EKS, ECS). 

  • Experience deploying generative AI or Bedrock-based applications, including AI agents. 

  • Strong knowledge of AWS governance, security, and cost optimization principles. 

  • Knowledge of MLOps practices, CI/CD for ML, and integration with data pipelines. 

  • Experience managing multi-account AWS environments and automation across organizations.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$98,124.00 - $166,810.00
