Job Title: Cloud Data Engineer – Coalesce, Snowflake experience

Location:  Omaha, NE (Onsite, 5 Days a week)

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Snowflake and a passion for leveraging data to drive business solutions. This role requires collaboration, communication, and a deep understanding of data engineering fundamentals.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain data solutions using Snowflake, focusing on SQL development, warehousing concepts, and workload management.

  • Build data transformations using Coalesce.

  • Utilize Git for version control and manage collaborative development workflows.

  • Translate business requirements into data solutions with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Automate processes to reduce manual work and enhance efficiency.

  • Collaborate with team members to share knowledge and ensure zero defects in production.

Must Have:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, including SQL development and warehousing concepts.

  • Experience building transformations in Coalesce.

  • Proficiency in Git for version control and collaborative development workflows.

Good to Have:

  • Experience with Snowflake advanced features such as Streams/Tasks, dynamic tables, Snowpipe, external tables, and zero-copy cloning.

  • Familiarity with cloud ecosystems (Azure/AWS/GCP), object storage, and IAM patterns.

  • Exposure to event streaming technologies (Kafka/Kinesis/Event Hubs) and CDC tools.

Desired Profile:

  • Proficiency in advanced SQL techniques, including advanced joins, window functions, CTEs, and performance considerations.

  • Strong communication skills to effectively translate business requirements into data solutions.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a solid understanding of data engineering fundamentals.

  • An automation mindset with a focus on eliminating manual work.

  • Strong collaboration and knowledge-sharing skills.

  • Background in delivering projects with a "first time right" and zero-defect approach in production.

The base salary range for this position is $88000 - $108000 plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies. Benefits available to eligible employees in this role include medical, dental, and vision insurance, comprehensive employee assistance program, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off and holidays.
