Cloud Automation Specialist - Python
We are seeking a Cloud Automation Specialist - Python to join our team at Marsh. This role will be based in Mexico City. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. As a Cloud Automation Specialist - Python at Marsh, you will have some hands-on experience with AWS and basic Python skills. Experience with Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is a plus. This position is suitable for candidates with around 2-3 years of experience in cloud automation or related roles. Familiarity with Agile methods like Kanban or Scrum is helpful but not required.
We will count on you to:
- Assist in designing and developing automation solutions to support cloud operations across regions.
- Help build and maintain Python scripts for operational tasks and cost management workflows.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) templates to create repeatable infrastructure.
- Participate in operating and improving CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and automation code.
- Help troubleshoot cloud automation issues and support root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with internal teams (CloudOps and FinOps) to understand requirements and assist in developing automation solutions.
- Learn and evaluate new automation tools and technologies to keep our software stack current.
- Document automation solutions clearly to ensure they can be supported by the team.
What you need to have:
- 4+ years of experience in cloud engineering, cloud operations, or automation roles.
- Basic knowledge of cloud automation tools such as AWS Lambda, EventBridge, or Azure Functions.
- Working knowledge of Python programming; eagerness to improve coding skills.
- Some experience with AWS or Azure cloud environments; OCI experience is a bonus.
- Familiarity with APIs (REST, JSON) and basic API testing tools like Postman is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and data handling.
- Advanced Level of English is a Must
