Who you’ll be working with:
If you have a strong background in IT, computer science, or software engineering, and are analytical, technologically savvy, solutions and process-focused, then the Technology & Operations team may be for you!
You will be responsible for the following:
- Asset Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive inventory of cloud assets, including virtual machines, storage, databases, and network components. Track asset lifecycle from creation to decommissioning, ensuring proper tagging and metadata management.
- Cost Optimization: Identify and implement cost optimization strategies, such as rightsizing instances, leveraging reserved instances or committed use discounts, and identifying and eliminating unused resources. Analyze cloud spending patterns and provide recommendations for cost reduction.
- Resource Utilization: Monitor resource utilization across different cloud environments and identify opportunities for improvement. Develop and implement automated scaling policies to ensure efficient resource allocation.
- Reporting and Analysis: Generate reports and dashboards to track key metrics related to cloud asset management, cost optimization, and resource utilization. Provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, finance, and security teams to understand their requirements and provide support for cloud asset management and optimization.
We’re looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred. 3 to 5 years of experience in cloud asset management, cost optimization, or related role.
- Cloud Platforms: Strong understanding of one or more major cloud platforms (AWS, Alibaba, Azure, GCP). Certifications in relevant cloud platforms are a plus.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Knowledge of cloud cost management tools and techniques
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud cost management platforms (e.g., Cloudability, RightScale).
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with Cloud Capacity Management
