Cloud Architect

So, what’s the role all about?

As a Cloud Architect, you will be the visionary architecting Nice’s next-generation cloud infrastructure—a resilient, scalable, and high-velocity ecosystem designed to support our intelligent, AI-powered platforms.

In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex engineering requirements and elegant cloud solutions. You will be responsible for designing sophisticated systems, pioneering DevOps excellence, and ensuring our R&D teams have the cutting-edge tools they need to deliver at pace. You’ll thrive in an environment that values an automation-first mindset, where you are empowered to prototype new technologies and set the strategic direction for our global infrastructure.

How will you make an impact?

• Architect Complex Systems: Design scalable, resilient cloud architectures and select the optimal technology stacks to bring them to life.
• Drive Operational Excellence: Identify and execute opportunities to improve system resilience, efficiency, and the overall developer experience through aggressive automation.
• Innovate & Prototype: Actively research and prototype emerging technologies that sharpen our DevOps processes and R&D delivery speed.
• Technical Leadership: Lead complex build, release, and deployment initiatives, navigating dependencies across multiple stakeholders with a long-term vision.
• Infrastructure as Code: Champion GitOps workflows and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) to ensure our production systems are secure, compliant, and highly available.
• Bridge Business & Tech: Translate deep technical complexities into tangible business value, ensuring our architecture supports Nice’s strategic goals.

Have you got what it takes?

• Experience: At least 5 years of proven experience in Cloud Architecture and DevOps.
• Cloud Mastery: Deep understanding of modern cloud environments (AWS, GCP, and Azure) and enterprise-grade architectures.
• Hands-on Technical Depth: A strong background in engineering with the ability to dive deep into troubleshooting and system integration.
• Kubernetes Expert: Solid experience with EKS—encompassing deployment, scaling, networking, and complex upgrades.
• IaC Practitioner: Practical, production-level experience with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies.
• CI/CD & DevOps Culture: Proven track record of operating within a product-centric DevOps culture, utilizing GitOps and automated deployment pipelines.
• Governance & Security: Familiarity with enterprise security standards, compliance requirements, and cloud governance frameworks.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, a proactive problem-solving mindset, and a passion for working in a collaborative team environment.

You will have an advantage if you also have:

• Code Literacy: The ability to read and understand application code (TypeScript/Node.js) to better diagnose system behavior.
• Systems Engineering: Familiarity with formal systems engineering and requirement management methodologies.
• Security Mindset: Experience implementing advanced security protocols within a DevSecOps framework.
