Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Architect to design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions for Hitachi, Ltd. This role will be pivotal in driving our cloud strategy and ensuring successful adoption of cloud technologies across various business units.
Job Responsibilities**
* Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure cloud architectures (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) primarily on major public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
* Lead the technical planning, implementation, and migration of applications and infrastructure to cloud environments.
* Collaborate with development teams, operations teams, and business stakeholders to define cloud requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
* Develop and enforce cloud governance policies, security standards, and best practices.
* Evaluate new cloud technologies and services, providing recommendations for adoption and integration.
* Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost efficiency, and reliability.
* Troubleshoot complex cloud-related issues and provide expert guidance for resolution.
* Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth of cloud expertise within the organization.
* Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in the cloud computing space.
Job Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
* 10+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a dedicated Cloud Architect role.
* Proven experience designing and implementing complex solutions on at least one major public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP); multi-cloud experience is highly desirable.
* Professional certification(s) in cloud architecture (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect).
* Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, identity and access management, and data management principles.
* Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager.
* Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash).
* Solid understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless computing.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
