About the role
Applied Medical Research (AMR) is the hub of research at St Vincent's Hospital Sydney. It includes most Clinical Trials and Laboratory Research, which is undertaken at SVHNS, conducting research across wards, clinics and labs, and collaborating with scientists with the common goal to improve patient outcomes.
Coordinate care required in accordance with clinical trial protocols with other members of the team and assist clinical trial specialties with routine HIV, immunology or infectious diseases care for clinical trial participants.
You will be responsible for coordinating the research and clinical components of the Glendonbrook Program delivered through the Dysplasia and Anal Cancer Services (DACS) and provide assistance to the staff and patients.
You will be required to case manage patients undergoing care within a research project, manage project specific resources, ensure treatment and data collection is in compliance with the Protocol, International Conference on Harmonisation - Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP), Australian regulations and privacy laws
Maintain responsibility for assigned research projects and assist in the patient assessment for clinical trial eligibility, increasing patient recruitment and provide information for patients about trial requirements and treatments.
About you
Currently registered as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Demonstrated ability to work independently and across the interdisciplinary team and multiple care settings.
Demonstrated use of clinical research software such as CTMS, REGIS, REDCap, Shared Investigator Platform (SIP).
Demonstrated high-level verbal and written communication skills and a methodical and meticulous approach to the recording of clinical information.
Demonstrable knowledge and/or skills in a clinical research environment (or willingness to learn) and/or evidence of working as a Registered Nurse in clinical trials that includes the integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking, data analysis and research principles including Good Clinical Practice.
Demonstrated experience in presenting to other health professionals for education purposes.
