The RN Clinical Supervisor is a licensed registered nurse (RN) accountable for leading, managing & advancing people, processes & / or programs that support direct or indirect patient care. The NL promotes & advocates for patients, nurses / colleagues & the practice of nursing as defined by clinical area(s) of expertise & assignment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice/employment. Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited school of nursing.
Valid driver’s license where required by assignment.
What the RN Clinical Supervisor will do:
Frontline, department-based, direct or indirect healthcare department / program
Formally / informally supervises daily & / or house functions of charge nurses, professional & frontline staff (multidisciplinary team) of assigned department
May or may not have direct report relationships
May be accountable for the staff coordination, scheduling & assignment or throughput
May participate in & contributes to the performance management / review process
Contributes to the daily performance, daily adherence to regulatory requirements & drives results of team within assigned department
Implements departmental plans & priorities identified by accountable nurse leaders.
