Clinical Specialist Physical Therapist – Acute care Burn/ Ortho/ Surgical Units - Days

The successful candidate must demonstrate advanced clinical skills in the assessment and treatment of patients with a variety of post- surgical protocols including plastics/ vascular, orthopedics, trauma and ambulatory surgery. In addition, critical care ICU experience is required along with experience working in a fast-paced Burn ICU.
Other duties and responsibilities of the Clinical Specialist PT include serving as a clinical resource and mentor to staff and participation in clinically oriented service excellence initiatives. Strong communication skills are necessary.
This is a Monday-Friday 8:30 am- 4:30 pm position, occasional late hours required to cover ambulatory surgery service and an intermittent weekend and holiday requirement commensurate with years of experience.
Preferred Criteria
A minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing physical therapist
Experience working in the acute care and ICU settings with well- rounded experience in areas such as ortho/trauma and other surgical protocols.
Excellent communication and teaching skills
Exemplary professionalism, teamwork and flexibility
Required Criteria
2 years experience as a practicing Physical Therapist
New York State Physical Therapist License
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
