Job Description Summary

As a Clinical Specialist you will have versatile duties, participating in various stages of product development and acting as the interface between clinical customers and the engineering team. You will lead clinical testing activities (both in-house and in hospital), analyse data, document findings, create metrics, and continuously improve our clinical testing methods. Additionally, you will provide analysis of data for medical regulations, train our engineering staff, and demonstrate new products.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute and lead clinical test activities in a simulated laboratory (in-house) and hospital environment.

  • Support clinical hospital studies, including protocol development, subject recruitment, data collection, and data transfer

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, software developers, usability experts, and marketing

  • Train product development teams to improve understanding of clinical and patient expectations (e.g., monitored parameter performance, workflows, hospital environment, patient risk, adverse patient outcome)

  • Provide input and author clinical evaluation deliverables for Medical Device Regulations, risk management documents, user manuals, and user training materials

  • Provide clinical feedback on device usability, performance, and potential improvements and create reports summarizing findings

  • Demonstrate devices to authorized interested parties.

  • Analyze product defects for clinical impact.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with significant nursing experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing/Healthcare

  • Significant clinical experience in care environments where patient monitoring is intensively used (e.g., intensive care, cardiac telemetry, operating room)

  • Understanding of the relationship between medical device-related risks and adverse patient outcomes

  • Ability to write professional documents in English, such as clinical testing plans

  • Excellent communication in English (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
