The Position

In Roche’s Pharmaceutical Research and Early Development organization (pRED), we make transformative medicines for patients in order to tackle some of the world’s toughest unmet healthcare needs. The Immunology group in pRED works on tackling immune-mediated inflammatory diseases in respiratory, gastroenterology, and nephrology and the Early Clinical Development (ECD) team within Immunology is responsible for developing and executing the early development (Phase I-II) clinical strategies, to deliver well-differentiated therapies with meaningful improvement for patients.

Join our dynamic Early Clinical Development (ECD) Immunology team and take charge of shaping the future of groundbreaking molecules and indications. We are looking for you to step into a role where you independently manage key scientific and operational deliverables within a fast-paced, global setting.

The opportunity: 

This is a chance to influence the speed and direction of our clinical trials. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the Science: Drive the creation and finalization of crucial documents, including clinical protocols, reports, Investigator Brochures, and Health Authority submissions.

  • Manage Global Trials: Provide scientific expertise for assigned global Phase I-II studies, ensuring execution aligns with strategy, budget, and timelines.

  • Analyze & Interpret Data: Lead the medical-scientific review, final analysis, and interpretation of clinical trial data, resulting in publications and internal/external presentations.

  • Direct Multidisciplinary Teams: Provide strategic direction to the global, cross-functional Study Management Team (SMT) to ensure all deliverables meet strict quality standards.

Who you are:

We are looking for a professional who is eager to influence their own development and thrive in a complex, growing organization. You should possess:

  • A PhD, MD, or MD/PhD (or equivalent qualification)

  • Over five years (5+) of hands-on clinical research experience in the pharmaceutical industry

  • Proven ability to rapidly grasp and become proficient in new indications (within six months).

  • Exceptional skills in evaluating, interpreting, and synthesizing complex scientific data.

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English to present and critically discuss data internally and externally.

  • A true international perspective and a strong track record as a team player
