Location Information: This is a field-based sales opportunity covering the Rocky Mountain Territory, including CO, AZ, UT, WY, MT, ID, NM, and NV, requiring regular travel throughout the region.

How will you make an impact?

The Individual chosen will grow revenue through new business and managing accounts within the respective territory. The product line responsibility will include Toxicology (Drugs of Abuse products), Capital Equipment, MAS Clinical Chemistry Quality Controls, AcroMetrix Molecular Controls, ISD/TDM Product Line and Lab Link xL, and Biomarkers business.

This role will require accountability, attention to administrative details, overnight travel and an emphasis on delivering consistent sales results, profitability and growing annual revenue.

What will you do?

  • Responsible for direct sales of the company’s products into a specified geographic area and handle all stages of sales cycle. 
  • Apply of Professional, Consultative, and Strategic Selling skills to develop incremental business in existing accounts and conduct cold calls to develop new accounts.
  • Develops a business plan for each major account; monitors, reports progress and regularly provides the Sales Manager with results.
  • Work with distribution channel partners to strengthen and support business in addition to direct sales.
  • Establish customer pricing within defined ranges, providing price quotations, preparing Bid documents, processes specifications and other reports.
  • Maintain positive relationships with business unit personnel for service and/or technical support, marketing and client/customer purchasing agents.
  • Assist in the forecasting and the projection of sales from new and existing customers for both reagents and instruments.
  • Attend various trade shows and assist in booth staffing.
  • Work extensively with SFDC (Salesforce.com) CRM to handle customer account base and Qualify sales leads, answer inquiries and maintain accurate records of activities using approved CRM software (Salesforce).
  • Interact on a frequent basis with Sales Managers, Field Service, Customer service, Marketing, and finance.

How you will get here:

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or related experience in sales.
  • A minimum of 2 years of successful field sales, preferable in diagnostic/laboratory/hospital markets.
  • The ability to plan and complete activities with minimal direct supervision, provide detailed and timely reporting.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and multi-tasking skills.
  • Requires attention to detail, have analytical and strong prioritization skills.
  • Must have the highest degree of integrity and ethics.
  • Demonstrate a proficiency with SalesForce.com and MS Office programs.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 75%.

Required:

  • Ability to travel without limitation.  
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills for group presentations, customer sales presentations, and intercompany written and verbal communications.  
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Colorado is $63,900.00–$90,000.00.
