Our Clinical Research Team

Noom’s Clinical Research team generates rigorous, fit-for-purpose evidence that advances our mission across our portfolio of health offerings. We design and execute high-quality clinical and real-world research that supports medication-adjacent care and behavior-change interventions, ensuring our programs are backed by credible science and aligned with regulatory, commercial, and product needs. Our work strengthens Noom’s external scientific reputation while driving internal innovation and growth.

About the Role

As we continue to grow, we’re seeking a Clinical Research Scientist to design and execute rigorous clinical and real-world research across Noom’s health programs. This is a senior individual contributor role responsible for flexing across evidence standards—ranging from medication-adjacent clinical research to consumer-facing evidence development—while maintaining methodological rigor and scientific credibility. You will translate complex scientific findings into actionable insights that inform product strategy, claims development, and commercial decision-making.

You Will

  • Design and execute clinical trials, pragmatic studies, and real-world evidence (RWE) initiatives across behavioral programs and digital interventions
  • Adapt study designs, endpoints, and levels of rigor based on business and regulatory requirements
  • Execute research across traditional site-based clinical settings and decentralized/virtual environments
  • Develop statistical analysis plans and oversee analytic execution with senior scientific review
  • Identify and mitigate methodological risks related to bias, confounding, and interpretability
  • Ensure analytic outputs are defensible for peer review, internal decision-making, and appropriate claims development
  • Serve as lead or contributing author on peer-reviewed publications and scientific communications
  • Collaborate with academic investigators and external partners on study design, execution, and dissemination
  • Translate research findings into clear, defensible insights tailored to product, marketing, medical, and legal/compliance stakeholders
  • Align research designs with downstream business use cases while upholding scientific integrity
  • Represent Noom’s research function in cross-functional and external forums
