Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, or related field preferred or equivalent work experience in the field required.

Experience / Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in project management or event coordination required.
  • Effectively coordinates project functions, detailed instructions, plans and memos.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Present information, problem solve, coordinate multiple projects, meet financial budgets, and deadlines.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite especially MS Excel is required.
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Project Management Certification (CAPM, PMP) preferred.

Position Summary

The Clinical Research Project Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the successful execution of the cancer center grant. This position works closely with the Director of Clinical Research to plan, organize, and attend project activities.  The Clinical Research Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating presentations, managing resources, and liaising with stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of all parties involved.

  • Identifies potential risks to keep projects on track and ensure project objectives are met.
  • Collaborates with the Director to outline project scope, objectives, and timelines.
  • Ensures necessary resources are available and assigned appropriately.
  • Acts as the bridge between various stakeholders, including team members, clients, and vendors.
  • Provides consistent updates on project progress to the Director through meetings and reports.
  • Keeps detailed records of project activities, decisions, and changes.
  • Prepares and distributes regular reports summarizing the project status to keep all parties informed of the current state, progress, and any issues that may arise.
  • Monitors project expenditures to ensure alignment with the budget.
  • Ensures that all project deliverables meet the established quality standards.
  • Incorporates feedback from stakeholders to improve project outcomes.
  • Seeks opportunities to enhance processes and methodologies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

Requires sitting for long periods of time, also stooping, bending, standing and stretching. Must have manual dexterity for typing and computer data entry.  Able to work under a stressful environment, work independently, capable of making sound decisions, be detail oriented, alert and self-motivated. Ability to push/pull up to 40#, carry and lift up to 20#.                                                                           

Threshold Requirements

  • These threshold requirements are required and completed yearly basis.
    • Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation.
    • TB/PPD Surveillance Program
    • Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s).
