Job Title: Clinical Research Nurse – Registered Nurse

SUMMARY:
Coordinates, facilitates and monitors the implementation of all group research protocols being conducted in accordance with departmental policy, institutional policy, sponsor/protocol requirements, and FDA regulations. Provides, manages and coordinates care for patients participating in a clinical trial and their families, and ensures compliance with the written protocol.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Demonstrates advanced knowledge of professional nursing theory, practice, and techniques, including physical assessment and implementation of care plans in a safe and effective manner.
Collaborates with physicians, physician assistants, case managers, community providers, nursing staff, and leadership to deliver coordinated patient care.
Manages adult medical care for patients enrolled in clinical trials, documenting health assessments, evaluating diagnostic measures, and educating patients and families on protocols, risks, benefits, and prognosis.
Coordinates, implements, and monitors clinical trials by reviewing new protocols for feasibility, screening and enrolling participants, and maintaining thorough knowledge of active studies.
Collects, records, and submits study data and regulatory documents accurately and on time, while ensuring compliance with sponsor, FDA, and IRB requirements.
Prepares, stores, and ships specimens per protocol; maintains study drug and supply inventories; and ensures accurate documentation systems are in place.
Serves as a liaison with sponsors, coordinating site visits, reconciling data queries, and ensuring adherence to study agreements.
Participates in IRB submissions, annual reports, adverse event reporting, and audit readiness, representing the study team at meetings as needed.
Demonstrates strong communication and teaching skills, providing education to staff, patients, families, and peers while identifying learning needs.
Engages in ongoing professional development through continuing education, journal review, seminars, and participation in professional organizations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a Research Coordinator.
Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills
Current New York State Registered Nursing license

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
