Summary
The Clinical Placement Specialist is responsible for the planning, coordination, and oversight of clinical education experiences for nursing students across two campus locations. This role ensures that clinical placements align with curriculum objectives, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements. The Clinical Placement Specialist serves as a key liaison between the School of Nursing, clinical partners, faculty, and students, supporting both day and evening programs.

Job Duties
  • Coordinate and schedule clinical placements for nursing students at both shifts and sites.
  • Collaborates with faculty to ensure clinical experiences meet course and program learning outcomes.
  • Maintains relationships with clinical site partners and secure new clinical affiliations as needed.
  • Support clinical faculty including onboarding, training and mentoring.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards, state board regulations and institutional policies.
  • Maintains accurate records of clinical hours, site evaluations and student assignments.
  • Participates in curriculum development and program evaluation activities.
  • Serve as a resource for students regarding clinical expectations, policies and professional conduct.
  • Travel between campus sites and clinical locations as required.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Nursing Education
  • 3 years Clinical Nursing Experience
  • Ability to organize the delivery of quality customer service while managing multiple projects and tasks
  • Knowledge and ability to extract key data elements from data systems required as well as software programs including MS Word.
  • Knowledge of program coordination and data analysis related to program effectiveness and return on investment.
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to include Access, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • RN - Licensed Registered Nurse_PA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire and
  • BLS - Basic Life Support AHA - American Heart Association Upon Hire and
  • CNE - Certified Nurse Educator - National League for Nursing Within 2 Years

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing or Nursing Education
  • 3 years academic or clinical teaching experience and
  • 5 years Clinical Coordination and/or Curriculum Development experience

Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
