What are we looking for?
Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a Clinical Physiologist to join our Neurophysiology team, with a competitive salary range on offer, up to £60,000.
This is a full time, permanent role with the following shift patterns:
Monday to Friday
0900-1700 across 5 days
0800-1800 across 4 days
There is currently no on-call requirement however may change as per the needs of the department.

This role will report directly to the Lead Consultant Clinical Scientist and will be part of a highly innovative, evidence based, forward thinking multi-disciplinary team. This role will provide a wide range of neurophysiology investigations including highly specialised procedures on inpatients and outpatients from any specialty. This role will initially be based at main hospital site, 33 Grosvenor Place with the possibility or working across sites if required. Successful candidates may already have or be interested in developing experience in intraoperative services and/or complex sleep & epilepsy telemetry. This role will work within a small team and will be required to contribute to the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the service participating in quality assurance, clinical governance, audit and research, as well as assisting with service development where appropriate.
What will your duties include?
Plan, perform and interpret a range of neurophysiological investigations to a high level of competence, performing current standard techniques without supervision. The post holder must be able to modify the test according to the circumstances or the patient’s condition. They should be able to record using both standard and non-standard electrode placement with the exact placement of electrodes and recording procedure are the responsibility of the practitioner.
Perform EEG recordings to include video electroencephalograms with activation procedures (e.g. hyperventilation and photic stimulation where indicated.), Sleep recordings – natural, sleep deprived and drug induced, prolonged recording for monitoring therapeutic drug levels, seizure occurrence or to monitor immediate effects of drug administration.
To participate in the teaching and training in the Neurophysiology to a broad range of healthcare workers including medical, AHP, nursing, HCS etc.
Responsible for planning their own work on a day-to-day basis and able to assist more senior staff in longer term planning of the clinical workload and efficient usage of resources.
What we need from you?
BTEC HNC/D in MPPM / BSc Hons Clinical Physiology (Neurophysiology) or equivalent - Essential
Experience as Associate Clinical Physiologist or previous experience as a Basic Technologist in Neurophysiology. – Essential
Has a demonstrable track-record working in a clinical position in an acute healthcare setting – Essential
Member of Registration Council for Clinical Physiologists (RCCP)/ Health and Care Professions Council HCPC or equivalent. - Desirable
Work experience in the private sector. – Desirable
