Description:

Responsible for oncology infusion support, inpatient operations, and clinical staffing.

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Clinical Pharmacist to join our team with a strong knowledge of oncology, biosimilar therapy, and non-oncology therapies. This role is vital in delivering patient-centered pharmaceutical care, ensuring the safe and effective use of infusion therapy medications. You will play a key role in direct patient care, clinical assessments, and supporting safety protocols for chemotherapy preparation and administration. Clinical Pharmacist will alternate between shifts in the infusion clinic and hospital pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and monitor patient-specific pharmacotherapeutic regimens

  • Ensure safe compounding and dispensing of infusion therapies

  • Participate in emergency medical management when applicable

  • Support medication safety and quality improvement initiatives

  • Collaborate with healthcare teams on formulary adherence and medication acquisition

  • Serve as a preceptor and mentor for pharmacy students and residents

  • Oversee pharmacy support staff to ensure safe and efficient workflows

  • Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations

Qualifications

Required:

  • Current license to practice pharmacy in the State of Michigan

  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)

  • Oncology experience: hospital based or outpatient infusion experience 

Preferred:

  • Training and knowledge of oncology and biosimilar agents

  • Completion of a pharmacy residency program or equivalent hospital pharmacy experience.

Rotating 1st and 2nd shift with weekend commitment (every 4th weekend)
