Compensation & Perks

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care & Patient Management

  • Independently assess, prescribe, and manage drug therapy under APA
  • Provide comprehensive medication assessments and follow-ups
  • Deliver chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia)
  • Administer injections and other expanded scope services
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes

Patient Experience

  • Provide prescription and OTC counselling tailored to patient needs
  • Build long-term relationships through proactive care and follow-ups
  • Support health promotion and disease prevention initiatives

Workflow & Clinic Operations

  • Maintain accurate documentation and clinical records
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and regulatory compliance
  • Manage clinic workflow, scheduling, and follow-up care plans
  • Support inventory oversight related to clinical services

Professional Practice

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional clinic environment
  • Stay up to date with clinical guidelines and prescribing standards
  • Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

  • Licensed Pharmacist in Alberta
  • Additional Prescribing Authority (APA) required
  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
  • Passion for patient-centered care and clinical service delivery
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently in a clinical setting
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and health & safety standards
