The range for this role is $17.31 - $22.36
Actual base pay will be determined based on a successful candidate's work location, skills/abilities, experience, and education.

The Job
The Clinical Operations Associate specializes in the comprehensive preparation of clinical casework and provides administrative support services to the various departmental teams. Preparation of casework utilizes critical thinking, computer-based, and telephonic skills with providers and members to identify, research, conclude, document, and distribute fully prepared clinical casework for targeted medical conditions and healthcare sharing plan provisions.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Works on a wide range of tasks in the clinical administrative scope requiring critical thinking skills and judgment to
- Analyze the departmental inflow of correspondence, information, and requests received via pre-notifications, queues, emails, mail/faxes, documents, etc. for potential casework
- Research and complete any missing information needed to develop a comprehensive case to include telephonically contacting facilities, providers, and/or members and utilizing CRMs and Internet search engines.
- Obtain and monitors admission and discharge dispositions through medical record and utilization reviews, face sheets, pre notifications, etc. to identify needed referrals to departmental teams.
- Triage and distribute casework based on clinical knowledge and/or criteria
- Document casework in appropriate software systems per organizational policy
- Collaborate departmentally to deliver accurate, timely, complete, and consistent administrative support and case work
- Meet service level agreements for assigned workload (SF and CSI queues, Outlook)
- Adhere to all company policies and Standard Operating Procedures
- Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality by following the guidelines set forth in the Privacy and Security Rules of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
- Pray with members and providers as appropriate.
- Attend all required department and organization meetings
- Contribute to the exercise and expression of the Christian Care Ministry’s beliefs

Essential Skills & Abilities
- Substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks in the clinical administrative scope
- Effective organizational skills, including working in multiple computer systems simultaneously
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of Medi-Share program guidelines and processes
- Advanced understanding of Medical Terminology
- Advanced skill with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
- Excellent computer skills – ability to access, research and use multiple software programs simultaneously and keyboard skills of at least 35 words per minute
- Excellent ability to communicate effectively in written, oral, telephonic and digital formats
- Work independently and with a team regularly; performs assigned special projects with minimal assistance
- Excellent ability to collaborate effectively and professionally with interdisciplinary team members, members/patients, families, providers, facilities and other employees and departments
- Strong ability to provide all content within a biblical framework
- Ability to comply with HIPAA, PHI, and all call compliance rules and regulations
- Results oriented, excellent organizational and planning skills. Ability to work cross-functionally and without supervision

Education and/or Experience
- Associates degree in a healthcare related field preferred or a combination of education and experience required.
- Medical terminology knowledge and comprehension required.
- 1-3 years of HealthPlan, medical billing or medical office/facility experience and/or advanced knowledge of the Medi-Share program and processes preferred.
