Job Summary
The Clinical Investigator will secure funding and carry out research projects under the direction of one or more of the Research Program Directors. The Clinical Investigator will participate in supervision of research assistants and collaborate with grants administration staff to ensure compliance with research regulations and institutional standards for his or her funded research. The Clinical Investigator will provide input to the overall strategic direction for the research program and ensure that the program performs at a level that will make important contributions to the recovery and quality of life of persons with disabilities and contributes to TIRR’s status as a national leader in clinical care, research, training, and technical assistance for persons with disabilities. The role will report to one or more of the Research Program Directors and/or to the TIRR Director (or Associate Vice President) for Research.Overview
TIRR Research is seeking an experienced Research Faculty / Clinical Investigator to lead and support human-subjects rehabilitation research. This role is responsible for securing external funding, managing research projects, supervising research staff, publishing scholarly work, and contributing to the strategic growth of TIRR Research. The investigator will build collaborative relationships within the Texas Medical Center and beyond while ensuring full compliance with federal regulations, IRB, HIPAA, and Memorial Hermann policies.
