Overview:

Sentara is hiring a Clinical Dietician - Outpatient for Sentara Therapy Center at Princess Anne, in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Schedule: First Shift, varying start between 7a-630p

Overview

Responsible for the assessment and nutritional management of acute and chronic disease in the outpatient setting. May include individual and group counseling, culinary nutrition, community outreach, public education and scheduling. Develops and/or implements a comprehensive care plan based on assessment and evaluation of patient/caregiver needs.

Education

  • Bachelors level degree required

  • If Bachelor's Degree is in major other than Dietetics, must complete an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics.

Certification/Licensure

  • BLS is required to be obtained within 90 days of hire.

  • Registered Dietitian (RD) must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

  • RDN licensure/certification preferred

  • Verification statements required for those candidates awaiting RD credentialing.

Experience

  • Prior dietician experience preferred
