Shift:

20 hour/week, part time position, Clinical Dietitian provides expert Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) to clients focusing on acute and/or chronic disease management and long-term behavioral change. If needed, responsibilities may include covering the out-patient GDM clinic. Patient population includes pediatrics through older adults.

 

Compensation Pay Range:

$29.96 - $40.32

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Nutritional Assessments: Evaluates clients' medical history, laboratory values, dietary habits, and anthropometric data to determine nutritional risks and needs.
Personalized Care Plans: Develops, implements, and monitors evidence-based nutrition interventions tailored to specific conditions like diabetes, heart disease, renal disorders, and GI issues.
Patient Education & Counseling: Provides one-on-one or group counseling to facilitate behavioral changes, lifestyle modifications, and improved self-management of chronic diseases.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Works closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to coordinate care plans and ensure continuity after hospital discharge.
Documentation: Follows the Nutrition Care Process. Maintains accurate and confidential patient records within Electronic Health Record system, tracking progress and outcomes. Documenting productivity daily.
Program Development: Assists in creating educational materials, participating in quality improvement projects, and conducting community outreach

2 - Performs work of variety of skill levels and responsibility as directed.  May also perform work of a higher level in preparation for increased responsibility and may be requested to work of lesser responsibility when the work load of the department so requires.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education

Bachelor or Master's Degree in Nutrition from a CDR/A.N.D. approved program. 

Completed Dietetic Internship from a CDR accredited program. 

Passed RD exam or eligible to take RD exam. 

Massachusetts licensure or licensure eligible.

Minimum Work Experience - Preferred

Up to six (6) months to become fully proficient is preferred.

Required Licenses / Registrations

LDN or LDN Eligible - Licensed Dietitian or Licensed Dietitian Eligible in Massachusetts
RD or RD Eligible - Registered Dietitian or Registered Dietitian Eligible

Required additional Knowledge, and Abilities

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel preferred; typing ability
