The primary location for this position is remote. The expected schedule requirements are Monday-Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM CST and occasional shifts of 9 AM – 6 PM CST may be required to serve families needing later appointments times. Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred for this role.

What You’ll Do

As part of the multidisciplinary team, the Pediatric Dietitian provides clinical nutrition services for pediatric patients with chronic medical and behavioral health conditions. The Pediatric Dietitian will assess the nutritional needs of patients, develop and implement nutritional care plans, and communicate information to those in need in a manner developmentally appropriate for the ages of the patients served. In this role you will:

  • Provide age-appropriate education to support the nutritional care plan and assess the learning needs and readiness to learn for all patients and families
  • Analyze growth trends, including z-scores, to prevent malnutrition, failure to thrive, growth faltering, and to identify excessive weight gain.
  • Design personalized, feasible nutrition care plans that accommodate food preferences, allergies, financial constraints, and are realistic for families to implement.
  • Use in depth knowledge of infant/pediatric formula composition, accurate calculations for specialized formula recipes, and meal plans to counsel caregivers on age and disease specific diets and/or formulas
  • Counsel patients/caregivers on diverse nutritional needs spanning recent NICU discharge, selective eaters, and disease specific diets (e.g. diabetes, weight management, lipid disorders, high caloric needs, etc)
  • Monitor nutrition care plans using all applicable data from available electronic health records, monitor and considering age, sex, and disease specific expected growth and development and cultural/ethnic background.
  • Document nutrition care plans effectively within the electronic health record, including closed-loop communication with nutrition technicians and the patient care team
  • Collaborate with internal and external multidisciplinary care teams to integrate and communicate nutrition principles that enhance patient outcomes
  • Serve as a nutrition resource to clinical staff regarding specialized formulas, enteral feeding regimens / tolerance, and disease specific diet information that is evidence-based
  • Liaison between assigned region and the clinical nutrition tailored service line
  • Maintain expertise in pediatric nutrition and professional credentials
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You Bring & How You Qualify

First and foremost, you’re passionate and committed to reimagining pediatric health care and creating a world where every child with complex medical conditions gets the care and support they deserve.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a pediatric dietitian
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Certified Registered Dietitian (RD) from the Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • Licensed RD in at least one state with eligibility to register for other state licensures
  • Experience working with a pediatric population strongly preferred, virtual care experience a plus
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred

What We Offer (Benefits + Perks)

We offer an annual base salary of $77,000 - $88,000 in addition to an annual bonus incentive, a competitive company benefits package and eligibility to participate in an employee equity purchase program (as applicable). When determining compensation, we analyze and carefully consider several factors including job-related knowledge, skills and experience. These considerations may cause your compensation to vary.
