Clinical Data Associate

Role Overview

The Clinical Data Associate provides hands-on clinical data management support, partnering with study teams to ensure high-quality, clean, and reliable clinical trial data. This role supports global studies and plays a key part in day-to-day data cleaning and reconciliation activities, including external data sources.

All work is performed in accordance with applicable standard operating procedures, work instructions, internal policies, and local regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive data management activities, including data review, query generation, and query resolution
  • Lead ongoing reconciliation of all study data streams
  • Generate, track, and drive resolution of data queries within EDC and back-end databases
  • Participate in study-related meetings and teleconferences
  • Support study closeout and archiving activities
  • Create and deliver routine status reports and data quality metrics
  • Monitor EDC reports and track overall data cleaning progress
  • Manage eCRF freeze and database lock activities

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Health or Science discipline with clinical research experience
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience supporting clinical trials
  • Data Management experience preferred
  • Experience working within diverse, cross-functional, and global clinical research teams
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Vendor management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interpret clinical trial data and clearly present data trends to study teams
