About our Role:
We are currently seeking Clinical Coders to join our team at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Northside. In this role you be responsible for assigning accurate and timely clinical codes to patient episodes of care through analysis of patient record documentation and using the appropriate version of the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems, Australian Modification (ICD10AM) and applying Australian Coding Standards and relevant State Coding authority advice. The role is expected to be involved with ongoing training and education sessions and participate in ongoing audits.

Things that work for us:
Bachelor of Applied Science (Health Information Management) or equivalent, or Clinical Coding qualifications from HIMAA or equivalent.
The successful applicant will be required to provide accurate and timely coding of patient records using ICD 10 AM.
At least two years clinical coding experience.
Previous experience with 3M Codefinder software.
Experience in clinical coding across a range of DRGs with demonstrated high quality coding skills.
Up to date knowledge of Clinical Coding guidelines and Australian Coding Standards and be prepared to participate in performance and quality improvement activities.
