Are you organized, friendly, and thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment? We’re looking for a detail-oriented Clinical Center Associate I or Clinical Center Associate Trainee to keep our Ambulatory Melanoma/Sarcoma Clinic running smoothly.

In this role, you’ll be the welcoming face and steady hand behind the scenes—answering calls, assisting patients and visitors, managing clinic schedules, and accurately recording physician orders. You’ll help guide patients through their visits, handle co-pay collections with care and professionalism, and collaborate closely with a supportive care team. Working in a confidential, supervised setting, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring exceptional service, seamless operations, and a positive experience for everyone who walks through our doors. The Clinical Center Associate Trainee role is a trainee position. Incumbents will be engaged in trainee duties that may lead to the full performance level of a Clinical Center Associate.

The starting hourly rate for the Clinical Center Associate Trainee position is $19.55. The starting hourly rate Clinical Center Associate I is $21.81. Both positions includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience for Clinical Center Associate I

1. Medical Office Assistant Associate’s degree; or
2. Associate’s degree and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or
3. High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma, completion of an Roswell Park-approved Medical Assistant certificate program and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or
4. High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or
5. High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in customer service and successful completion of a Clinical Center Associate traineeship at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (Roswell Park).


NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Required Education and Experience for Clinical Center Associate Trainee

High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and one (1) year of full-time experience in customer service.

NOTE:
Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.

Preferred Qualifications

The preferred candidate should have prior customer service and scheduling experience, as well as experience working in a medical setting. Knowledge of medical terminology is also strongly preferred.
