Job Summary:

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Clinical Care Technician (CCT) for our Emergency Department located within the Edgewood Hospital.

Shift/Hours: Full Time, 30 hours, 5P-3A

Job Description:

The Clinical Care Technician provides direct and indirect patient care to support a unit or facility as directed by a Registered Nurse (RN).      

  • Participates as a member of the patient care delivery team by collection of basic laboratory specimens and two hour troponins, collects legal alcohol specimens, performs EKG’s and 2 hour EKG’s with troponins, assists with lifting and transporting, performs vital signs, clean and bandage wounds, splinting to fractures and other duties as delegated by the nursing staff within scope of training.  
  • Transport patients to testing.  
  • Perform CPR on full arrests as members of the code team.  
  • Follows all policies and procedures in the collection of laboratory samples and in the performance of EKG’s, in an accurate and timely fashion.  
  • Assists nursing staff in addressing patient care needs, rounding frequently and ensuring that environment is conducive to care. 

Qualifications  

Education, Credentials, Licenses:  

  • Highschool Diploma / GED 
  • BLS Certification 

Specialized Knowledge:   

  • Ability to perform such tasks as vital signs 
  • Demonstrates knowledge of body mechanics 

Kind and Length of Experience:   

  • Hospital Orientation
