Job Description Summary
The Clinical Applications Analyst I is responsible for providing support for applications that are clinically focused. Under the direction of the Clinical Applications Manager or Senior Clinical Applications Analyst, performs regular system maintenance tasks as well as build and support tasks related to IS projects. Complies with corporate and departmental policies and demonstrates good communication skills.Job Description
The Clinical Applications Analyst I will:
Assist with installing clinical application upgrades and enhancements by collaborating with internal departments and external vendors to develop conversion plans for system changes including communication, and maintenance testing.
Support clinical application projects by assisting with identifying requirements, determining objectives, identifying stakeholders, recommending product solutions, and establishing budgets and timelines.
Assisting with configuration of Cerner modules.
Collaborate with IS staff and users to develop test plans, including integration and user acceptance testing, to verify configuration satisfies design requirements.
Document issues and problems for re-testing.
Assist with developing training materials for employee education and conducting training sessions as necessary.
Perform other duties that may be assigned in the best interest of the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab.

Reports directly to the Applications Manager
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Undergraduate degree in information systems (e.g. Computer Science) or clinical care (e.g. RN, PT, OT, etc.) with no previous professional experience. Work experiences can replace traditional educational requirements.
Learns to use professional concepts while working on projects of limited scope. Normally receives detailed instructions on all work.
Able to take direction and complete defined tasks in support of Clinical Applications team.
Able to apply institute policies and procedures to resolve routine issues.
Able to follow standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.
Able to build stable working relationships with multidisciplinary team.
Experience working within Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office tools.
Personal computer skills necessary to contribute to project plans, presentations, test plans, etc.
Analytical skills necessary to resolve issues.
Ability to pay close attention to details when performing testing and system maintenance tasks.
Interpersonal skills necessary to actively listen and communicate effectively with IS peers and user community to deliver and support systems based on user needs.
Ability and willingness to learn new tools and Healthcare Information Systems (HIS) to be identified as part of SRALAB's future core applications toolset. Example technologies include new Cerner modules.
Self-motivated with the ability to learn new concepts and job requirements quickly.
Willingness to work non-standard and/or extended hours as necessary.
Working Conditions
Normal office environment with little or no exposure to dust or extreme temperature.
Pay and Benefits*:
Pay Range: $52,312.00 annually - $89,424.00 annually
