Behavioral Pediatrics - Heitzman-Powell StaffJob Duties Outlined:
Assist with the implementation of an internally funded grant.
Assists in the recruitment of participants for training, including obtaining service provider and child consents for participation.
Obtain consent from trainees participating in training.
Prepare for training by creating materials, helping trainees register, and preparing materials.
Provide ongoing monitoring and coaching to service providers in use of the strategies taught during training via video and in person feedback.
Conduct assessments of service providers in the application of targeted skills.
Assists with reports on findings from training which will go to funding agencies.

Work Environment
This position will travel to training sites throughout the state of Kansas.
Required Qualifications
Work Experience:
Four (4) years experience in early childhood education, behavior analysis, psychology, language, or related field. Education may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Two (2) years work experience with children using the principles of applied behavior analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Master’s degree in early childhood education, behavior analysis, psychology, language or related field.
Work Experience: Five (5) years of experience training service providers to work with children with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Compensation Statement:
The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
