The role

What will you be doing?

We’re currently looking for a Client Specialist to join our Basingstoke Dental team on a 12 month fixed term contract. This role plays a key part in delivering an excellent onboarding and renewal experience for our dental clients and brokers.

What will you bring?

As a Client Specialist, you’ll be responsible for supporting new and existing customers by delivering accurate, timely and high-quality service across onboarding, renewals and ongoing administration. You’ll work closely with internal teams, brokers and clients, ensuring service level agreements are met while maintaining strong attention to detail and customer focus.

This is a varied role combining data processing, customer interaction and relationship management, ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, systems and people.

What You’ll Be Doing
•    Liaising professionally with internal and external clients and brokers via phone, email and written correspondence
•    Building and maintaining effective working relationships with clients and brokers
•    Managing your own workflow to ensure service standards and agreed timescales are met
•    Uploading and reconciling monthly member data accurately, raising invoices for flexible benefits, company paid and voluntary clients
•    Generating and issuing member packs for new joiners and renewals (by post and email)
•    Responding to internal and external queries in a timely and effective manner
•    Following procedures and guidelines to meet SLA, FCA and regulatory requirements
•    Understanding and applying information security, compliance and conduct risk standards
•    Escalating issues appropriately and seeking guidance when required
•    Maintaining and developing your technical knowledge and taking ownership of your personal development
•    Living the Unum values and adhering to all company policies and procedures

What We’re Looking For
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills
•    Good numeracy skills and confidence working with data
•    Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
•    Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
•    Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
•    Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
•    Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
•    A proactive, flexible and problem-solving mindset
•    Confidence speaking with brokers and stakeholders over the phone

This role offers hybrid working with 2 days working from home per week.
